“Best of Quarter - Design” winner at Chicago Portfolio School

 

Design Objective:

The beauty industry has grown exponentially with many new and existing brands leaning into clean and natural ingredients. To stay competitive, and relevant to a younger audience, Burt’s Bees needed a brand refresh and new visual identity. I updated the branding to tie back to their origin with simple designs inspired by geometric designs found in nature.

 
 

Logo Development

My design process starts with sketching out ideas. I then group them by concept into 2-3 conceptual territories to bring to life in Illustrator. Once a conceptual territory and logo direction is chosen, in this instance “Geometric in Nature”, I work to refine that logo until it’s complete.
